Mayor Rocío Adame of Playas de Rosarito oversaw the delivery of direct financial assistance to women and single mothers to help strengthen their small businesses. The program is part of an initiative led by the Municipal Women’s Institute (IMMUJER), directed by Irami Cortez de Los Ángeles.
At the event, 15 women entrepreneurs and 15 single mothers each received 3,000 pesos in direct economic support to help expand their businesses, improve household finances, and work toward financial independence.

The mayor stressed the importance of implementing public policies that enable women to advance professionally and maintain economic autonomy, especially those who are heads of households.
“An empowered woman transforms her life, her home, and her community. We’ve seen it. We witness it every day in every new business that emerges, in every mother who decides to study, in every woman who dares to take the first step,” she stated.
The recipients thanked local authorities and shared how this support will boost their businesses and directly benefit their children’s quality of life.

Through this effort, the government of Playas de Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to gender equality, local economic development, and the empowerment of women.
