Playas de Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to supporting young people by leading the distribution of the “University Financial Support 2025” program, organized by the Municipal Youth Institute (IMJUVER). In this latest edition, 170 university students received an economic incentive of 2,000 pesos each to support the continuation of their higher education.
Held at the City Hall plaza, the event highlighted that the recipients, aged 17 to 29, came from neighborhoods such as Primo Tapia, Mazatlán, Lomas de Coronado, Plan Libertador, Constitución, Aztlán, Lucio Blanco, Colinas del Sol, Vista Marina, and Crosthwaite. Students from institutions including UABC Rosarito, UABC Otay, UABC Valle de las Palmas, Universidad Mexicali, Universidad UR, Universidad Nueva Baja, UTT, and UDCI also participated in the program.

In his speech, IMJUVER Director Josué Armando Zamora Ponce emphasized that the initiative reflects a government that is close to its people.
One of the scholarship recipients, Mely Arteaga, offered words of gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries: “Thank you for believing in us. This support is more than financial aid, it’s a recognition of our effort and our will to move forward,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Rocío Adame reiterated that education is one of her administration’s core priorities. “We firmly believe in the potential of our youth. This support is not a gift, it’s an investment in Rosarito’s future. You are the driving force behind the transformation of this city and this country,” she stated.

With this initiative, the government of Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to building a more inclusive, opportunity-filled future where young people have what they need to pursue their goals and dreams.
