Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz personally led efforts to deliver direct support and essential services to hundreds of families in the Lucio Blanco neighborhood this week during a community outreach event, aimed at directly addressing residents’ needs and strengthening the social fabric through concrete actions that improve quality of life across all communities.

A central achievement celebrated during the event was the completion of a newly paved main street — a project residents had long advocated for — whose rehabilitation will allow for continued improvements on nearby streets and better connectivity for families.

The event also served as a one-stop hub for assistance, distributing critical aid including 300 food parcels, 150 gas vouchers, 200 hygiene kits, and 180 blankets, as well as 560 Christmas dinners, 10 roscas de reyes, and 1,000 assorted gifts for children handed out to local families.

Beyond social and infrastructure aid, the event also expanded into public health and sanitation. Animal health services administered 220 pet vaccines and treatments — including rabies shots, deworming, and flea and tick treatments — while parallel cleanup operations collected 98 tons of heavy trash from the area.

“This new pavement is a testament to what we can accomplish when a community organizes itself. The residents identified their priority, united behind it, and now their main street is paved. This central artery will serve everyone and provides the foundation for us to continue improving side streets and delivering on future projects, like the planned linear park, which will benefit all families. All this demonstrates that when the community organizes and works together, results are achieved,” Mayor Rocío Adame said.

The mayor also reminded residents about the approaching rainy season, urging them to secure their homes and visit delegation or municipal offices to request protective materials.

“Rainy season is approaching, and that means we must ensure our homes are in good condition. We will be mindful of what you might need to prepare and prevent any risks. Tarps, materials, or other kinds of support will be made available within our reach to help you get through this season in the best way possible,” she stated.

Lastly, in coordination with the federal Department of Well-Being, plans for a new linear park on federal land were announced. The project aims to transform an unused space into a recreational area for the community, marking a continued investment in the quality of life for Rosaritense residents.
