In an effort to boost security for all communities, Mayor Rocío Adame led a Historic Security Campaign event in the Venustiano Carranza neighborhood, uniting all levels of government for a direct, on-the-ground response to resident concerns.

The event marked the first time local, state, and federal authorities convened in such a forum in the community, signaling a new collaborative approach to public safety.

This collaboration brought together a powerful coalition, including the National Guard, the Mexican Army, the State Attorney General’s Office, the Citizen Security Secretariat, as well as the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection and the Sub-Directorate of Preventive Programs.

“It is essential to work hand-in-hand with the people, listen to their requests, and closely understand the reality of each community. Only in this way can we strengthen prevention and offer real solutions,” the mayor said.

To empower residents, officials distributed informational brochures featuring a QR code that allows citizens to file formal complaints directly with the State Attorney General’s Office. They also promoted the use of the security button, a digital tool for immediate reaction during risky or violent situations.

Highlighting the focus on protecting vulnerable groups, the mayor underscored the work of the “Violet Patrol,” a unit dedicated to the protection and support of women in the municipality.

The mayor also confirmed that this is not a one-time event, announcing that her administration will continue touring neighborhoods to address specific requests, with improvements to public transportation services already identified as a key priority.

In addition, a Community Well-Being Campaign Event was held at the local Venustiano Carranza kindergarten. The event featured support stations from various government municipal and state departments and included the distribution of essential food baskets to families.

With these actions, the 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito reiterates its commitment to working closely with the people, reinforcing security, prevention, and well-being strategies for all families.
