Mayor Rocío Adame met directly with representatives from five neighborhood committees in the Cumbres de Rosarito community this week, launching a coordinated effort to address pressing local concerns over safety, infrastructure, and public welfare.
The meeting, part of the mayor’s policy of maintaining a close, sensitive, and committed government, established an open forum for residents to voice their needs to municipal department heads. The dialogue focused on identifying priority issues and developing actionable solutions.

The mayor reiterated that direct communication with citizens is a fundamental pillar of the administration in order to provide faster and more effective responses to the challenges neighborhoods face.

Residents presented a list of matters, chief among them being drainage and water runoff problems on Betel Street, which pose a safety hazard to children. They also highlighted increased traffic complications during the rainy season and the deteriorated state of roadways like Villa Bonita Avenue, whose planned rehabilitation project is expected to benefit a large segment of the community.
Mayor Rocío Adame also underscored her administration’s broader infrastructure goals, noting the progress of strategic projects like the city’s desalination plant, which has received support from the federal government led by President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Other concerns raised included public security, insufficient street lighting, the need for road resurfacing, and the maintenance of green spaces, issues the mayor pledged to address in coordination with the City’s Urban Services Department.

The discussion also covered social support programs. Committees requested increased access to food packages via the Department of Social Well-Being, expanded Municipal DIF services, and more support for local entrepreneurs, youth, and small businesses.

In direct response to community feedback, Mayor Adame announced an upcoming Well-Being Campaign Event in the Cumbres de Rosarito area, designed to bring a range of municipal services directly to residents’ doorsteps.

Concluding her remarks, the mayor reaffirmed her administration’s continuous outreach to all neighborhoods. She stressed that when citizens organize through committees, solutions move forward more swiftly. “Solidarity and trust are key,” she stated. “Rest assured, we will be close to each and every one of you.”
