Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito personally oversaw the reopening of Avenida Real, a critical neighborhood access point in Terrazas del Mar that had been blocked by a private property owner.
The route, used by residents for over two decades, was restored Tuesday following weeks of advocacy from community members. The reopening ceremony marked a victory for the nine neighborhoods of Terrazas del Mar whose residents had faced significant inconvenience due to the closure.

The mayor was accompanied by key members of her administration, including Director of Citizen Services Adrián del Campo, Director of Urban Services Mauricio Aguirre, and Secretary of Urban Development Samuel Vildaña. The officials conducted an on-site inspection to ensure the roadway met safety standards before reopening.
The resolution follows a formal meeting between affected residents and city officials at the Rosarito City Hall, where community members explained the transportation challenges created by the blocked access point.
“Engaging with the community is essential. Addressing citizens’ requests will always be a top priority for us. Having direct contact and listening to Rosarito residents allows us to resolve situations that impact the well-being of an entire community” the mayor said.

Mayor Rocío Adame also reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to improving mobility, noting that rehabilitation work continues on Lomas de Calafia Road to benefit all Rosarito residents.
The event underscores the Playas de Rosarito City Hall led by Mayor Rocío Adame’s efforts to strengthen community relations while addressing practical infrastructure needs throughout the municipality.
