Mayor María del Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito is leading a heartwarming dog adoption campaign under the slogan “Adopt with Your Heart: Change Their Life and Yours.”
The initiative aims to give rescued dogs a second chance while encouraging stronger bonds between the community and their pets.
With the message “Don’t Buy Love—Rescue It,” the campaign invites residents to choose adoption as an act of compassion and social responsibility. All dogs available for adoption have been cared for by the city’s Dog Control team and will be handed over in excellent health—sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and ticks.
To adopt, interested individuals must meet a few basic requirements: complete an adoption form provided by the Dog Control Agency, submit a copy of their official ID and proof of address, and make an in-kind donation (such as dog food, cat litter, or cleaning supplies).
Additionally, adopters must commit to providing proper care and allowing periodic follow-ups to ensure the animal’s well-being.
Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito reiterated her commitment to respecting animal life and emphasized that campaigns like this “not only transform the lives of those who adopt but also the lives of defenseless beings who deserve a family that takes care of and loves them.”
With these actions, the Playas de Rosarito City Hall reaffirms its commitment to building a more empathetic, fair, and responsible government where all forms of life are valued and protected.
