Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito spearheaded the Municipal Security Council meeting, where authorities from all three levels of government presented security results, highlighting a 34% reduction in vehicle theft during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
Regional Prosecutor Arturo Mandujano Quezada emphasized the leadership of the mayor and the collaboration between the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and the Secretariat of Municipal Citizen Security as key factors in reducing crime. However, efforts to combat vehicle theft continue.

Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito reiterated her commitment to public safety and claimed that she will continue supporting intelligence and prevention efforts. “Through investigation and coordination between the Secretariat of Citizen Security and FGE, I am confident we will remove those who are harming the people of Rosarito. They have done it before, and we will remain vigilant,” she added.
Attendees at the security meeting included Leonardo Barreras Vega, Technical Secretary of the Coordination for the Construction of Peace and Security in the Tijuana Region (SSPC) of the Mexican Government; Héctor Mandujano Ruvalcaba, Secretary of Municipal Citizen of Playas de Rosarito; as well as representatives from the Secretariat of State Public Security, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard.
