In Playas de Rosarito, Mayor Rocío Adame oversaw the distribution of water storage tanks as part of the “Agua y Bienestar para Todos” program. The initiative aims to address one of the city’s most persistent problems: access to water in several neighborhoods.
Speaking to residents from different parts of the municipality, Adame said the goal is to ensure that no community is left without a safe way to store water. “It’s essential for families to have a way to collect and preserve water. This is a priority for Rosarito, and we’ll keep pushing for solutions that guarantee supply across all neighborhoods,” she said.

During the event, community representatives received symbolic deliveries of the tanks and thanked local authorities, saying the support brings welcome relief to their daily routines.
Juan José Rangel Trujillo, head of the city’s Social Welfare Department, said the effort is meant to bring practical solutions directly to families, particularly in areas with the greatest need.
Adame added that the city will continue monitoring water access issues and reminded residents that the Social Welfare Department can help those unable to transport their tanks.
She also urged residents to reach out to city hall if they need assistance: “Our government listens and acts. Water is a right, and we’ll keep working to ensure access for everyone,” she said.

Adame noted the federal government’s push for a new water law aimed at ensuring fair distribution nationwide.
With programs like “Agua y Bienestar para Todos,” Rosarito officials say they hope to strengthen community well-being and reduce the strain caused by ongoing water shortages.
