Mayor Rocío Adame has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to attracting investment, creating jobs, and strengthening Rosarito’s productive and tourism potential as part of a broader regional strategy to boost Baja California’s economic development.

A key milestone in this effort was the participation of Rosarito’s Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, Irán Leonardo Verdugo, in the establishment of the Baja California Investment Promotion Committee in Tijuana. This step underscores the government’s dedication to positioning Rosarito as a competitive and trustworthy destination for national and international investors alike.

In his remarks, Verdugo highlighted that this initiative aligns with Mayor Adame’s vision of building an economic development model that encourages responsible investment, orderly growth, and improved quality of life for Rosarito’s families.

“Mayor Rocío Adame has been clear: Rosarito must be an attractive place to invest, live, and visit. From our department, we work to turn that vision into concrete actions, advancing projects that boost our local and regional economy,” Verdugo said.

He also stressed the importance of continued collaboration among all levels of government and the private sector to strengthen investor confidence and create conditions that foster sustainable growth in the municipality.

Verdugo recognized the close coordination with the Baja California government, led by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, and the Department of Economy and Innovation, headed by Minister Kurt Honold Morales. Together, they have laid out clear pathways to attract and facilitate new investment for the benefit of Rosarito and the wider region.

During the meeting, Verdugo also reported progress on talks with federal officials Carlos Candelaria and Bárbara Botello from Mexico’s Ministry of Economy. They are working on an initiative to establish a national “Made in Mexico Day, aimed at strengthening Mexico’s productive identity and opening new markets for local products.

In line with this vision, Verdugo announced that in the coming days, a call will be launched for local producers, entrepreneurs, and businesses to register in a new directory and join the “Hecho en Rosarito” (Made in Rosarito) brand. This municipal initiative seeks to showcase local talent, boost domestic consumption, and connect Rosarito’s business community with new opportunities.

“Rosarito has talent, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. ‘Made in Rosarito’ is not just a label, it’s a statement of identity, quality, and pride. This brand joins the national effort to highlight what Mexico produces and creates new opportunities for our products to reach even more markets,” Verdugo said.

He concluded by reaffirming that Rosarito’s City Hall will remain aligned with the state’s economic development strategy, working with leadership, transparency, and a forward-looking vision under Mayor Rocío Adame’s direction.

“Our municipal government has clear direction and determination. We will continue working with vision, transparency, and results, because we know that a city that attracts investment is a city that creates opportunities for everyone,” he added.
