“Peace and well-being concern all of us. These ongoing discussions are crucial for developing strategies that enhance both security and development in Rosarito,” the mayor said.

Addressing security concerns, the mayor endorsed a CCE proposal to improve police recruitment at both municipal and state levels, emphasizing the need for better trained, more committed police officers with a genuine vocation for service.

“We want more police officers, but they must be good, capable, and responsible. It’s better to develop qualified officers and dignify their profession,” she said.

The administration is currently developing measures to boost officer compensation, including establishing a base salary of 25,000 pesos monthly and creating incentive programs for exceptional personnel. These moves form part of a broader initiative to professionalize the police force and strengthen the agency.

Mayor Rocío Adame also highlighted existing security improvements, citing the effectiveness of community outreach programs and security task forces that have enabled more direct response to citizen concerns.

Substantial investments in public safety infrastructure include:

  • Implementation of the “Smart Button” emergency alert application
  • Installation of surveillance cameras across operational units
  • Acquisition of new firearms and ammunition
  • Purchase of new-generation pickup patrol vehicles
  • Renovation of Peace and Civic Justice Court facilities

Business leaders acknowledged resulting decreases in criminal activity, recognizing them as evidence of successful coordination between municipal government and security agencies.

“We’re moving in the right direction to safeguard our community’s security and well-being. I invite everyone to join this effort for a better, healthier Rosarito,” Mayor Rocío Adame said.

The meeting represents the latest in ongoing efforts by the Playas de Rosarito government to strengthen partnerships with the business community while addressing fundamental safety concerns for a safer, more prosperous municipality with better opportunities for all.
