Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to transforming Playas de Rosarito into a city where women can thrive with freedom, security, and equal opportunity. The announcement comes amid what she described as a historic moment for female leadership in Mexico.
“We are living through unprecedented times. For the first time in our history, Mexico has a female President, Baja California has a female Governor, and Rosarito has a female Mayor. This is the era of women. We’re paving new paths and transforming governance through female leadership,” the mayor said.

The mayor’s administration has introduced a comprehensive range of programs to support women at every stage of life. These initiatives encompass economic empowerment, physical safety, legal counseling, and medical services—placing women’s well-being at the heart of municipal policy.
Among the standout programs is “Madres Autónomas” (Autonomous Mothers), which provides financial support and business guidance for female entrepreneurs. The city has also enhanced safety measures through “Puntos Naranja” (Orange Spots) and a “Botón Inteligente” (Smart Button) system for emergency response. Additionally, the Municipal Women’s Institute (IMMUJER) has been strengthened to offer comprehensive support for women facing violence or seeking personal development.

Mayor Rocío Adame emphasized that equality isn’t achieved through legislation or speeches alone. It requires concrete actions and the active participation of the entire community.
“The women of Rosarito are the foundation of our community. They work, innovate, educate, create, and care for families. They are the heart of our families and the foundation of our development. That is why my government works, and will continue to work, with heart, empathy, and results. When women advance, our entire municipality moves forward,” the mayor said.

The mayor also highlighted the significance of coordinated efforts across all levels of government, noting that female leadership at municipal, state, and federal levels represents a transformative shift in Mexican politics.
“President Claudia Sheinbaum has made it clear: this is women’s time. Here in Rosarito, we’re turning those words into action through governance that combines sensitivity with tangible results. We govern with sensitivity, justice, and vision, so that no woman is left behind,” the mayor said.

The administration’s commitment extends to maintaining gender-focused policies that ensure women’s rights to safety, equal opportunity, and full participation in economic, social, and cultural development.
“When we protect and empower women, we’re not just supporting individuals. We’re strengthening our entire community. This work continues to be our highest priority,” Mayor Rocío Adame concluded.
