Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz is leading efforts to enhance school safety across Playas de Rosarito, heading an informational workshop focused on creating secure and supportive learning environments for students.

The session, titled “For a Safe School: Functions of School Participation Councils and Their Committees,” brought together educational authorities and parents in the Primo Tapia delegation. Organized by Rosarito City Hall in coordination with the Departments of Education and Citizen Security, the workshop offered practical guidance on developing comprehensive prevention projects that foster student safety and growth.
A key topic of discussion was the “Intelligent Button,” an emergency response tool implemented by the Department of Citizen Security to ensure faster intervention during critical situations.

During her remarks, Mayor Adame emphasized that safety is a shared responsibility between citizens and government and encouraged parents and guardians to adopt the new technology.
“Schools are fundamental spaces for our community, and safety is our shared responsibility. The ‘Intelligent Button’ transforms the phones we all carry into vital protection tools, creating faster connections between citizens and authorities during emergencies,” she said.

The mayor also addressed concerning trends in domestic violence, urging community members to report incidents through available channels, including anonymous reporting options.

“We want to protect Playas de Rosarito as effectively as possible. We know there is an increase in domestic violence cases, and as parents, we understand what our children are going through. It is our responsibility to protect, listen, and support them. We cannot ignore these situations; we must act, even through anonymous reports,” she said.
The local government’s initiative underscores its commitment to fostering collaborative safety measures between schools, families, and local authorities, ensuring a protected environment for Rosarito’s youth to learn and grow.
