Mayor Rocío Adame unveiled two newly paved streets in the Lucio Blanco Expansion neighborhood, marking another step in her administration’s effort to improve local infrastructure and everyday mobility for residents.
The project included the paving of Guadalajara Street and Tecate Street with durable hydraulic concrete. Funded through the 2025 PRON program, the work represented an investment of more than 7 million pesos, or roughly $400,000 USD.

In total, the upgrades span about 4,530 square meters (approximately 48,800 square feet) across 213 meters of roadway, or nearly 700 feet. The improvements are expected to ease traffic flow and ensure safer, more reliable access throughout the year, especially during rainy conditions.
Authorities said the project was made possible through close coordination between the municipal government, residents, and the neighborhood works committee, following priorities set by Mayor Adame’s administration.

“These streets are the result of joint work between residents and City Hall. They represent promises kept, now reflected in better mobility, improved safety, and a more dignified way to get home,” Adame said during the inauguration.
City officials estimate the project directly benefits around 270 residents and indirectly improves conditions for more than 1,700 people living nearby. Before the upgrades, the streets were frequently difficult to navigate, particularly during bad weather.

With projects like this, the Playas de Rosarito government says it will continue focusing on neighborhood-level infrastructure improvements aimed at strengthening community development and improving quality of life where needs are greatest.
