Mayor Rocío Adame of Playas de Rosarito took the lead this week in a hands-on security operation in the upper Primo Tapia neighborhood, showing the city’s focus on crime prevention and keeping families safe.
Adame said having government teams in neighborhoods makes it easier to hear residents’ concerns and respond quickly.
“Being here in Primo Tapia helps protect families and shows we’re paying attention and ready to act,” she said. “Our goal is to coordinate efforts and provide direct support to the community.”
The operation brought together citizen service stations and security personnel, including the National Guard and local police, so residents could get guidance and help in one place. Officials used the opportunity to gather feedback, provide immediate solutions, and strengthen preventative safety measures.
A wide range of agencies joined the effort, from the city’s security and fire departments to state investigative units and social services, working together to keep the community safe.
Through initiatives like this, Mayor Adame’s administration is showing a hands-on approach, working directly with residents to prevent crime and build stronger, safer neighborhoods.
