SAN DIEGO, CA.- Floyd Mayweather is the only boxers is the world who can fight only once per year, and still maintain the same dominance. He defeated Robert Guerrero with a unanimous decision after 12 rounds on Saturday night.

Mayweather was phenomenal at times, with heavy right handed punches which left Guerrero a bloody mess. His performance showed some of his best skills which made us all remember some of his best fights. Mayweather hurt Geurrero in a number of occasions, especially towards the end of the eighth round when with a series of right hands made Guerrero's knees shake.

With this victory Mayweather remains undefeated in all of his 44 fights, while this was only Guerrero's second loss as a professional fighter.

Mayweather was absent from boxing for almost a year having to serve a prison sentence.

The winning formula was his defense, which Mayweather executed perfectly. With his father calling the shots from the corner for the first time in nearly 13 years, Mayweather dominated Guerrero in a performance not expected by a 36 year old.

"I really needed my father here tonight" said Mayweather. "He's the one that told me to concentrate on defense, that the less amount of punches I took the longer I would last".

All three judges came up with the same score of 117-111 in favor of Mayweather. In Associated Press in turn scored the fight 119-109 also in favor of Mayweather.

"We did it again" said Mayweather after bagging a nice 32 million dollar payday. "Hats off to Guerrero, he is a true 'guerrero' (warrior)"

In spite of the fact that the fight was not a true spectacle for the 15,880 people in assistance, it was extremely efficient.

Mayweather made his opponent who had not loss a fight in eight years finish with his face a bloody mess while he danced around and connected with right hands constantly.

The champion ended the fight still fresh and could still carry on his plan of fighting again in September.

"I looked for the knock-out, but I hurt my hand" said Mayweather. "I feel bad for not achieving the knock-out for the fans to enjoy".
