TIJUANA.- This morning, Tijuana's major, Jorge Astiazarán Orcí inaugurated Tijuana's Mercado Hidalgo 60th anniversary event, where he emphasized the commitment of merchants working in one of the most emblematic places in the city.



"Congratulations on these first 60 years, we know that the men and women who stayed on this site are an example for everyone else who lives in this town. We can't talk about Tijuana's history without mentioning Mercado Hidalgo, because it represents a space filled with traditions culture and effort", said the mayor.

The anniversary festivities will take place inside the Mercado Hidalgo, starting the 15th to the 17th of October, where you'll be able to enjoy live music and artists, a party, food samples and culinary competitions.



During the festivities inauguration, COTUCO's president, Miguel Ángel Badiola, the president of Union of Mercado Hidalgo Merchants (Unión de Comerciantes del Mercado Hidalgo in Spanish), Luis Fernando Rodríguez López, as well as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and establishment owners, among other people.
