Meridiano Project Engineer indicted for real estate fraud in Tijuana

Mr. Powell contacted us and gave us an update regarding his case against Mr. David Espinosa Lozano who represents AJ Desarrollos, S.A. de C.V. and Dame Construcción y Desarrollos, S. de R.L. de C.V. was indicted by order of a Control Judge on November 27, 2020.

Rafael Toledo Navarro, of the law firm Litismx, S.C., through a legal action by means of the Judge of Criminal Control, was able to seize a property of the engineer. The property is approximately the amount of the money he was the victim of, a total of $148,200.00 dollars.

The seizure is to guarantee the reparation of the damage.

He tells us that the seized property is unit: 211, Condominio Residencial La Perla, in Playas de Tijuana, which has a value of $2,933,000.00 pesos. Which is close to the amount he was a victim of fraud is owed.

Mr. Powell confesses that he doubted Mexican justice. That what was done was done and that there was a possibility that he just had to move on with his life and his family. However, to see that the engineer was bound to process in a hearing by order of a judge, and also that one of his properties was seized, although provisionally, until a definitive resolution, gives him hope.
