Mexicali Eco-Police Arrest Man for Illegal Dumping in Vacant Lot

The Mexicali City Hall has maintained its zero-tolerance policy against environmental damage.

In a direct enforcement of Mexicali City Hall’s zero tolerance policy against environmental damage, Municipal Ecological Police officers arrested a man on Tuesday for illegally dumping construction rubble in a vacant lot.

The arrest occurred around 6:48 p.m. in the Lomas Altas neighborhood, following a routine patrol. Officers reported witnessing the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Alfredo “N”, unloading debris from a bicycle fitted with a makeshift cart at the intersection of Calzada Monarcas and Calle Igea.

Following the intervention, Alfredo “N” was detained and presented before a judge to face sanctions for the administrative offense.

The Municipal Public Safety Directorate (DSPM) is following instructions by Mayor Norma Alicia Bustamante and maintains its commitment to society by penalizing any wrongful action that jeopardizes public health.
