The Mexicali government, through the Department of Public Services, is assisting eight families whose homes were damaged by fires last Friday in the Baja California neighborhood. Cleanup efforts have already begun on the affected properties.

Juan Francisco Garza, head of Public Services, stated that, following the instructions of Mayor Norma Bustamante, debris removal is being carried out at no cost to the families.

He added that the cleanup work is expected to continue for approximately three days. These efforts, he noted, provide families with an important first step toward rebuilding their homes and restoring a sense of normalcy in their lives.
