In a direct effort to strengthen community well-being, Mexicali Mayor Norma Bustamante personally led a “DIF at Home” brigade this week, bringing a variety of government services to the residents of the Valle del Pedregal neighborhood.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Municipal DIF system, underscores the city’s commitment to ensuring that social support reaches every corner of Mexicali.
“The well-being of our communities is a priority for the Mexicali City Hall. This is why we continue to carry out these brigades with the support of the Municipal DIF and other agencies,” the mayor said.

According to Karla Edith González, President of the DIF Mexicali Board, the event provided a wide range of aid, including medical, nutritional, and psychological consultations. Residents also received practical support through the distribution of food parcels and prescription eyeglasses.
The brigade also facilitated on-site Civil Registry procedures and involved the Municipal Animal Control Center to make its services more accessible to the public.
