As part of her “Coffee Chats” initiative, residents of Valle de Puebla met with Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali, who reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to community engagement.
Joined by her team, the mayor outlined ongoing efforts under the “Mexicali Shines” program:
“We recognize Valle de Puebla as one of the most vulnerable areas, which is why we’ve launched an intensive cleanup and rehabilitation operation along Avenida Mosaicos,” she stated.

The Public Services Department will restore more than 1,700 linear meters of roadway, while also repairing 25 streetlights. In addition, 28 outdated sodium vapor lamps will be replaced with energy-efficient LED lighting to brighten the area.
Mayor Bustamante also shared plans to prune over 100 trees and 37 palm trees along the central median, and to remove all existing graffiti — all part of the ongoing effort to revitalize the community and improve residents’ quality of life.
Residents also raised concerns about security, stray animals, and road maintenance, which were noted for further action.
