Following the directives of Mayor Norma Bustamante, the Mexicali government is reaffirming its commitment to public health by bringing medical services and preventive care to vulnerable communities across the municipality.
During a recent Medical and Pet Vaccination Drive in the Baja California neighborhood, officials provided a total of 96 services, including 18 medical consultations, 18 early disease screenings, and 3 disability-related procedures. The campaign also distributed 70 condoms and 46 packets of oral rehydration salts.
As part of its vector control efforts, the city also carried out a fumigation operation in the Valle de Los Ángeles neighborhood, benefiting 32 residents from 10 households.

Roger Valdez, head of Municipal Medical Services, highlighted the importance of these outreach efforts as part of a coordinated strategy to prevent disease, promote community health, and provide direct care to those most in need.
Claudia Beltrán, Chief Administrative Officer of the Mexicali City Council, emphasized that these comprehensive health programs are designed to broaden access to essential services. She pointed to the hydration station set up at City Hall as an example, which served 3,152 people just last week, offering relief during extreme heat and helping to prevent heatstrokes.
