Soon after the incident, Noel shared two videos on all her social media accounts in order to ID the man. This past Thursday she went to the authorities to try and press charges even though she wasn't feeling very optimistic about the outcome.
She claimed Mexican authorities called her "ungrateful" for denying special treatment while crying rape victims were waiting.

However, even though she had received help and words of encouragement by some Twitter users after posting the video, there's been a huge wave of death threats vía Twitter DMs and other misogynist and sexist replies, mostly by users with "fake" accounts and random pictures.


Multiple users have even speculated that the incident was part of a "prank" by Master Troll or El Rey Grupero, who usually do these types of pranks in Mexico City. This social pressure prompted an answer from Andoni Echanove part of Master Troll, claiming that they don't do pranks to "girls", only people who can defend themselves, clearly exposing the type of mentality that a lot of people still have, referring to grown women as "girls" or assuming that because they're females they can't defend themselves, not to mention that doing these types of pranks is ok
