The Magazine "Condé Nast Traveler", chose Mexico's President, Enrique Peña Nieto, as one of the eight exemplary world citizens, and compared him to "Clark Kent", Superman's alter ego.
Peña Nieto's physique is not exactly news, during his campaign for presidency, many women admitted they would be unfaithful to their partners with the man who was a candidate back then, there was even an action figure of him as part of the promotional packages, and his wife Angelica Rivera, would question the female assistants in meetings "Did you kiss him already?", for many, Peña Nieto's image was worth more than his proposals.
"With a masculine aspect and custom tailored suits, Enrique Peña Nieto projects a clean cut image, almost like Clark Kent", the magazine states, as well as providing a brief description of his political career: "The charismatic president of Mexico, at his 47 years of age, has made very bold economic and social reforms, tearing down corruption and the interests of the old guard, all of this in his 1st year in office".
"Condé Nast" made a special note of all the social programs developed by Peña Nieto's government to combat hunger and poverty in Mexico.
In the interview with the President, Peña Nieto expressed what he expected from his children as well as from all Mexicans, for them to be proud of their traditions, to be proud of being part of a peaceful country that is influencing the entire world. In his perspective, politics is merely a tool to transform society.
The article mentions that Obama himself should envy Peña Nieto for the fact that he managed to unite the main political forces in Mexico with the "Pact for Mexico", so that this way the reforms necessary for developing the nation can actually be achieved.
As his new goals, Conde Nast noted the plan for responsible tourism, where besides promoting better conditions for visitors, will also include those who live and work in Mexico's most notable touristic cities.
Freida Pinto, Ian Somerhalder, The New York Times, eL Seed, Shigeru Ban, Dr. Greg Allgood and Seretse Khama Ian Khama are all on the same list as the President of Mexico, visionary agents of world change.
