The press conference was directed by the Secretary of Health, Hugo Lopez-Gatell who asked the Head of Epidemiology, Jose Luis Alomia, to present the corresponding numbers.
According to the graphs presented by Dr. Alomia, Mexico has a total of 456 thousand 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which it is estimated that 44 thousand 636 cases are active. So far, there are 48 thousand 867 deaths due to this virus.
On the other hand, there are 85 thousand 845 people who are waiting for their results. Recalling the data of past updates, of the number of suspects, approximately 42 thousand people will receive the news that they have the virus.
Regarding hospital availability, the states that have problems with it are Nuevo Leon (25% free), Coahuila (35%) and Nayarit (32%), while Baja California has 59% in general beds and 50% in beds with a ventilator.
