Mexico is prepared to receive all deportees from the United States, according to the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (STPS), Alfonso Navarrete Prida.
"I can assure that we are solid, we are prepared, the reality is on our side and the migratory issues will have to be ventilated with a clear defense of the Mexican government to its compatriots," he said.
The official stated that during the administration of Barack Obama more than 2 million Mexicans have already been deported.
"Mexico has more population that stays and it has had an exponential increase in the arrival of Central Americans to the country. We havent had a crisis."
Navarrete argues that there is a niche of opportunity for the country to receive qualified labor from the United States, so the situation could be beneficial for Mexico.
