MEXICO CITY – Mexican National Team manager Miguel "Piojo" Herrera named his final 23 man World Cup roster and is set to play its first preparation match against Israel on Wednesday night at the Estadio Azteca.

The friendly match is scheduled for Wednesday May 28th at 8:30pm local time (6:30pm pacific time) from the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This will be the final match for Mexico on home soil prior to its participation in the World Cup and it will be the official send off party for squad.

"Piojo" Herrera true to his style announced which his starting lineup in front of a press conference days before the match. Mexico will take the field with: Jesus Corona, Paul Aguilar, Diego Reyes, Francisco Javier Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Miguel Layun, Hector Herrera, Isaac Brizuela, Marco Fabian, Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Oribe Peralta.

TRIBUTE TO CUAUHTEMOC BLANCO:

As well as the official send off party, Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF) has arranged for this match to be an official tribute to Mexican National Team legend Cuauhtemoc Blanco who will be in the starting lineup for El Tri.

Blanco who after playing in Mexico's second division has recently signed with top flight squad Puebla. Blanco returns to the first division for one more season before retiring his professional soccer career. He has played in 119 matches for his country and scored 39 goals for El Tri, Tomorrow's match will be his final appearance with the National squad.

According to manager Miguel Herrera we can expect to see Blanco on the pitch for the first 15-20 minutes of the match.
