Mineiros Fans Trying to Intimidate Xolos

BRAZIL – Club Tijuana have spent the last few days in Belo Horizonte,mother site of their next game against Atletico Mineiro in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. The score is currently tied 2-2 in favor of the "Galo" due to the two away goals.



The fans from the "Horto" neighborhood where Atletico Mineiro are from have made a calling to all fans going to the match on Thursday through social media networks. The message is for all fans to attend the match wearing masks from the horror movie character in Scream to intimidate the Xolos.



The banner which appeared on social media networks has two written messages. The top one read: "Anyone with a campaign that crosses Horto neighborhood is dead" followed by: "Imagine 20 thousand fans in the Independencia against Tijuana with mask and black Galo clothing"



The image shows a mask from the movie Scream plus the black Atletico Mineiro jersey combining in a section of masked fans in the stadium.



The Brazilian forward Diego Tardelli showed his suppor for this campaign via his Twitter account publishing a hasgtag which read "#CampanhaMascarasNoHorto" (Masked Campain in Horto).
