These findings, coupled with other headlines related to corruption at even the highest levels, have fractured the country. While the situation does not seem to be dying down, a French news service, just uncovered a new case of forced disappearances where at least 31 young people from a local junior high in Cocula were kidnapped by organized crime.

The reporter for France 24 states that the dissapearance would have taken place on July 17, two months prior to chaos erupting over the dissapearance of the 43 students from Ayotzinaba, but this case did not receive media attention, because the families were threatened into silence.
According to Proceso, masked men in dark blue uniforms driving police vehicles were responsible for the kidnapping of these youths. They arrived in broad day light and without any sense of fear, in front of witnesses, kidnapped the students from Justo Sierra junior high.
According to the report, the mothers of the missing children decided to speak out in the wake of the protests involving the missing 43 students, and agreed to be interviewed.
