The head of the Secretariat of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, informed this morning that the 38 thousand and 12 vaccines remaining in Baja California will be massively applied next week in Ensenada. Of this total, 14 thousand 955 are from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and 23 thousand and 57 from Sinovac.

This would be similar to what happened at the FEX in Mexicali, according to what he mentioned. So all the divisions of this agency are already evaluating the vaccination sites. He even pointed out that they are going to carry out vaccination exercises (trials) in Ensenada to see the pedestrian and vehicular dynamics.

He also commented that they expect to vaccinate more than 38 thousand adults over 60 years of age in less than five days. For the moment, he did not mention the exact date or the massive and peripheral vaccination sites because they are trying to avoid the conglomeration of people in those points, as was observed in Mexicali.

On the other hand, he indicated that vaccination in the state capital will continue, but they are waiting for the next shipment of vaccines, since there are no more doses for that municipality.

He also said that once the vaccination in Mexicali and Ensenada is finished, Tijuana will follow, and added that multiple and massive vaccination points are already being determined for the border city.

As of this Saturday, 82 thousand 371 adults over 60 years of age have been vaccinated in Baja California.
