Were you thinking about crossing to San Diego this Tuesday, April 12? We suggest you reconsider for the waiting time in line has been reported to be over 4 hours. A witness shared their experience to San Diego Red, stating that they have been in line since 9 AM all the way up to 1:12 PM.

“Worst of all, we were just about to cross and they closed the lane. There was no movement for half an hour. We have a medical appointment in San Diego, and I don’t think we’re making it,” they said and sent the following picture of the stopped line:

No reason or specific situation has been determined regarding why the San Ysidro border crossing line is so slow. Facebook groups monitoring the border crossing have commented that though the line itself wasn’t very long, it was particularly slow today.

Similarly, the pedestrian San Ysidro border crossing has also been reported as being quite slow. Now you know: if you’re thinking of crossing through San Ysidro, consider it carefully or you may end up waiting for 3 to 4 and a half hours.
