The U.S. Embassy has issued a public warning aimed at discouraging people from attempting to climb the border wall between Mexico and the United States, citing the serious risks involved.
In a message shared on its official social media account, the embassy reported that more than 400 people have fallen while trying to scale the border wall in 2025 alone, many of them suffering severe injuries.
The message urged individuals not to put their lives at risk by attempting to cross the border irregularly, stressing that the route is both dangerous and unreliable.
“The border is closed to everyone,” the embassy added in a separate statement.
U.S. officials also emphasized the importance of being informed before making decisions that could jeopardize personal safety. According to the embassy, the goal of the warning is to prevent accidents, disrupt human smuggling networks, and avoid tragedies that affect migrants and their families.
