MEXICO.- The mothers of missing Mexican students disappeared in September 2014, known collectively as "The 43", are marching since early this morning to demand justice and for their children to be returned to them.
Today is Mother's Day in Mexico, and since 10 a.m. this morning, these mothers, alongside personnel from the Families United in the Search and Localization of Disappeared Families non-profit organization and other regional collectives, started walking the streets of Mexico City waving banners that carry the pictures of the missing youths, demanding that the government search not only for them, but for the thousands of people that have disappeared at the hands of organized crime, police corporations and the Mexican Armed Forces.
People reunited at the Mothers' Monument in the city and made their way down Paseo de la Reforma, one of the city's major avenues, all the way to The Angel of Independence monument; the protest carries the name Fifth National Dignity March.
