Muse, one of the biggest international music groups from the United Kingdom presented their song "Survival" as the official theme for London 2012 after being chosen by a committee that organizes the Games.
The song will also be the first single from their album "The 2nd Law" which could hit stores on September 17 this year.
The band, led by Matt Bellamy, has been distinguished by their fusion of rock with various musical genres. Their live shows are considered to be amongst the best, their stage design and visual effects living up to their great music; which, by the way, has been featured in videogames and movies alike.
Muse's last presentation in San Diego was almost two years ago on September 22, 2010 at the Viejas Arena while on tour for their album "The Resistance".
"The 2nd Law" will be the band's sixth album; just a few weeks ago they released a teaser including fragments of their new songs.
