An organization that seeks to defend the rights of unions and day laborers in the United States has created a mobile application to combat labor exploitation of immigrants.

From the app, which is called 'Jornaler@', the worker can immediately report any injustice, such as theft of wages or employer abuse.

"Now that the xenophobes want to divide the workers … we must organize, innovate and stay together to defend ourselves," said the president of the National Day Laborer Network, Pablo Alvarado.

Although these types of problems are not exclusive to immigrant workers, they are more susceptible to different abuses due to limitations ranging from language to culture.

The app is now available for free download on Android and iOS devices.
