Through a joint statement from Apodaca Group, Bulldog Productions, and OCESA, organizers have announced an unexpected merger between the Tecate Península Festival in Tijuana and the Tecate Supremo Festival in Ciudad Juárez.
The message states that both festivals will “merge their souls” to create a new edition which, for 2025, will only take place in Ciudad Juárez.
“The merger of both festivals, without losing the essence of either, is undoubtedly a step forward in terms of the festival and its content, the beauty of its experiences, and the territorial reach that highlights the energy and passion the audiences of Ciudad Juárez and Tijuana have shown in each edition,” the statement reads.
Emphasizing that “there are no borders for music,” organizers say they aim to combine the best of both events and bring them to each city in alternating years.
While this merged festival will debut in Ciudad Juárez in 2025, Tijuana audiences can expect its return the following year, featuring a lineup that blends the styles of both events.

Reactions on social media have been sharply divided. In Tijuana, many residents expressed disappointment, noting that anyone hoping to see the artists announced in the coming months will now have to budget for tickets, flights, and accommodations.
Meanwhile, in Ciudad Juárez, anticipation is high. Locals are optimistic that by incorporating the best elements of Tecate Península, the merged festival will deliver a broader lineup of renowned artists and feature more stages than before.
