TIJUANA.- After Starbuck revealed their new limited time product, the Unicorn Frappuccino. Other businesses have tried to introduce products with this theme, while some who already had drinks similar to this proposal, tried to exploit it even more in face of this new tendency.

However not everything is pink colored with this beverage, as many specialists have exposed the high sugar content, calories and saturated fat. A few days ago Nutriendo T, nutritionist in Tijuana published a chart where they show the nutritional x-ray of the Unicorn Frappuccino and the terrible option this new beverage is.

Given this, they not only warned of the content of this drink, but they also offered a healthier proposal. The Licentiate in Nutrition and Food Science, Melisa Zelina Tellez, looked for the improved version of this famous drink, which has the same flavor, color and above all: Nutrition.

Through the Nutriendo T Facebook page, they shared the recipe:

"Each serving gives us 302 kcal, 20.5 grams of added sugar, 5 grams of fat, of which 2.75 grams are saturated fat, 7.79 grams of fiber, EXACTLY! OUR BEVERAGE HAS FIBER!, and 5.5 grams of protein, without artificial colors or flavorings."

Ingredients:

⚫️ 6 big size strawberries

⚫️ 1 banana

⚫️ 1/2 cup of chopped mango

⚫️ 50 gr of blueberries

⚫️ 50 gr of blackberries

⚫️ 2 teaspoons of agave syrup

⚫️ 1 cup of milk (you can use regular milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or whatever your choice is)

⚫️ 120 ml of cranberry yogurt

⚫️ 1 teaspoon of chia seeds

⚫️ 2 cups of ice

TIP: The more the fruit ripens, the better your frappe will taste and you will not need to add extra sugar

PREPARACIÓN

Wash and disinfect all the fruits
In a small pot or frying pan place a teaspoon of agave syrup plus the 50 grams of blueberries, and let them heat. With a fork you will crush the blueberries until it turns into a liquid jam. This will give us the bluish touch (although it seems purple at the end) to our frappe. Remove from heat and let cool. Repeat the same action in a clean container but this time using the 50 grams of blackberries (this will give a reddish-purple touch)
In a blender add the milk, ice, the banana, strawberries and the mango. Once everything is grounded and blended, reserve the mixture. This will turn pink.
Prepare 2 glasses, place half of each jam as a decorative inside the glass, add the blender mixture, place cranberries yogurt at the top (instead of whipped cream) and our magic sprinkles will be our chia seeds.

And here you have a fresh and healthier version of the Unicorn Frappuccino!
