Just minutes from the historic town of Julian, a new attraction is offering visitors a chance to experience the sights and sounds of the desert without leaving Southern California. Oasis Camel Dairy has officially opened its doors, inviting guests to interact with camels, explore lavender fields, and enjoy a truly unique farm experience.

The farm offers guided Open Farm Tours on select dates from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. During the visit, guests can get up close with the camels, learn about their care and behavior, and explore the property after the main presentation.

The experience kicks off with the Oasis Camel Dairy Show, a family-friendly presentation featuring trained parrots and one of the farm’s largest camels. Following the show, visitors are free to roam the grounds, feed the animals, and browse a selection of camel milk-based products including artisan chocolates, soaps, and lotions.

In addition to the camels, the farm boasts a beautiful lavender field. During peak season, guests can take part in U-Pick activities, gathering their own fragrant bundles to take home.

The picturesque setting has also become a favorite spot for photography and peaceful family strolls, blending agricultural charm with the novelty of camels roaming the countryside.

For many, a trip to Oasis Camel Dairy pairs perfectly with a visit to nearby Julian, known for its historic charm and, perhaps more famously, its apple pie. Considered one of California’s most beloved desserts, Julian’s traditional apple pie draws visitors from across the state, making it the ideal sweet ending to a day spent among camels and lavender.
