The popular adults-only event “Oceans at Night” is returning to the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, offering an after-hours mix of marine science, art, and evening entertainment.
Set for Thursday, January 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the event invites guests to explore aquarium exhibits, enjoy live music, and sip drinks in a uniquely immersive setting.
This edition will focus on the lives of aquanauts, inspired by the aquarium’s newest exhibition, “Meditation Ocean: Aquarius Reef Base.” Attendees will get a firsthand look at what it takes to live and work underwater through interactive experiences and conversations with real-life aquanauts.

Guests will also have the chance to meet Hope Ginsburg, the artist behind the “Meditation Ocean” installation.
Tickets are currently on sale for $53.95 for aquarium members and $59.95 for the general public. Additional dates and themes for future “Oceans at Night” events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
