The crisp feel of autumn is in the air, and with it comes the seasonal return of a local favorite. Oma’s Pumpkin Patch has officially opened its gates in Lakeside, inviting San Diego families to immerse themselves in a classic fall experience filled with pumpkins, rustic charm, and festive activities.

Nestled at 14950 El Monte Rd, the farm serves as a hub for seasonal fun, offering visitors a chance to wander through pumpkin fields, enjoy outdoor games, and create lasting memories.

The patch will be open through two sessions: September 27 to October 11 and October 14 to November 1. To accommodate different schedules, the patch offers flexible hours. While weekdays operate on morning and afternoon schedules, the fun extends into the evening on Fridays and Saturdays.

Prices

General admission, which includes access to all standard park activities, is most affordable when purchased online on weekdays for $16.50, compared to $21 at the gate. Saturday prices are higher, at $21.67 online and $26 at the gate.

For those looking for a more comprehensive experience, Oma’s offers bundled packages ranging from $20 to $30. These can include perks like feeding the goats at the popular “Feeding Frenzy Wall” or taking home a personally selected pumpkin.

Families can also enjoy old-fashioned wagon rides for $5, or let kids fire apple cannons on Saturdays for $20 per basket. For an additional $5, visitors can buy extra feed for the friendly goat herd.

Special Pumpkin Patch Events

Oma’s Pumpkin Patch is more than just a pumpkin field; it’s a destination with a full event calendar. The season will culminate on Saturday, November 1st with the wildly popular “Pumpkin Smash,” where visitors are encouraged to destroy leftover gourds in creative and cathartic fashion.

Weekly surprises keep the experience fresh. Saturdays feature live music, local food trucks, and face painting, while Tuesdays offer morning pumpkin painting sessions for a quieter artistic endeavor.
