“These events fill the soul and make us proud. When one goes to other places and meets another Mexican, we are proud to say that we are Mexicans. This document represents more than a piece of paper: it is the recognition of who we are, where we come from, and where we are going,” the mayor said.

Through “Soy México 2025,” eligible individuals can simplify and complete the process of claiming their Mexican citizenship. This year, 1,229 applications were successfully approved, reflecting stronger coordination among federal, state, and municipal authorities, along with the dedicated efforts of the local Civil Registry office.

Mayor Adame commended Civil Registry staff for providing the service at no cost, ensuring it remains accessible to the entire community. She also thanked Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda for her continued support of the program.

The campaign concluded with a symbolic ceremony in which five recipients received their certificates on behalf of the hundreds of children, youth, and adults from Rosarito who now hold official recognition of their binational identity.

“To be Mexican is to be supportive in any circumstance. It brings me joy to see children be part of this. Always carry Mexico in your heart and be proud of your heritage,” the mayor said.

With “Soy México 2025,” Rosarito reaffirms its pledge to strengthen community ties, promote inclusion, and guarantee the right to identity for all residents—bridging two nations through a shared sense of pride and belonging.
