We had a great time last Wednesday evening at The Kitchen, a place described as "an artistic and hedonistic space" located in downtown Tijuana, during an exquisite tasting event by Border Psycho Brewery and Chocolates Venus.

We enjoyed a tasting session presented by Roberto Albarrán, one of the master brewers with four craft beers presented by Border Psycho (Cream Ale, La Perversa Double IPA, La Brutal and their famous Belga Psicótica), each formally presented with background history of each type of beer and their characteristics, while Chocolates Venus paired three types of chocolate with each type of beer.

The favorite chocolate of the event was, without a doubt, a bacon chocolate which paired well will all types of beer. Beyond being a fun event, the pairing of chocolate with beer has been a great way to attract different people to try out local products, according to Gabriela Soto, the master mind behind Chocolates Venus.

This event was, without a doubt, one of the most interesting and fun pairing events that I've ever been to, and I invite you all to be on the lookout for upcoming events which are in the works.
