Ana Maria Jimenez, Congresswoman for the political party PAN as well as President for the Family commission in Puebla, mentioned at the Forum "Egalitarian Marriage in Puebla" her distaste for same sex marriages as well as allowing same sex couples to adopt, given that children with this type of family unit are more susceptible to becoming alcoholics, drug addicts, delinquents and/or socially awkward individuals.

Jimenez assisted the forum as a panelist and it was during her participation where not only did she make the previous statements but qualified homosexual couples as "unnatural".

"This study, in which among other things it manifests, is that adult people that have lived this experience (being adopted by homosexuals) have, for example, a greater tendency toward drug use, feelings of depression, self loathing and predisposition to antisocial behaviors", Jimenez assured.

Her words took those who where at the event by surprise who questioned the congresswoman's source, without setting aside the religious speech she gave at the event. Adding to all of this was the fact that the congresswoman considers marriage something legitimate for those couples who can have sexual relations while looking each other in the eye, something that according to her homosexual couples can not do.

Setting aside the subject of Homosexuality, same sex marriages and these couples adopting, she also spoke about abortion, an act that the moralist congresswoman qualified as "A terrible and painful experience" and that no woman in her sane judgment should be willing to go through, not even in case of rape, stating that "you can not eliminate one atrocity with another atrocity".

What do you think of these statements?
