The newly released figures do not include potential casualties from Friday’s downing of an American aircraft by Iranian forces.
The Pentagon on Friday released new details about Operation “Epic Fury,” the ongoing military conflict against Iran.
According to officials, at least 365 U.S. service members have been wounded and 13 have been killed since the conflict began on February 28.
The Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) reported that of the total wounded, 247 are from the U.S. Army. Regarding the fatalities, 7 were Army personnel and 6 belonged to the Air Force.
Notably, the figures released today do not account for possible casualties or injuries resulting from the recent shootdown of a U.S. fighter jet by the Iranian military.
