Tijuana's mayoral candidates will go through an interview process where they will answer questions specifically related to the work they plan on doing to help the segment of the population with disabilities if they were to win the election, said José Manuel García Arévalo, general director of Generación Prisma, a civil association.

All 12 aspiring mayors were invited by Generación Prisma to this "job interview" simulation, where they would be questioned by a moderator over several key topics concerning the population with disabilities of Tijuana, such as employment, healthcare, education and sports.

José Manuel García pointed that just 7 out of the 12 candidates have accepted their invitation; the interview will be held in the Canaco Tijuana facilities on May 26, 11:30 a.m.

"We want to hear their proposals towards people with disabilities; it's about empowering these individuals and showing them how to question starting now, so they might find who the better option is."

García Arévalo mentioned that it's necessary for every applicant to have projects aimed at facilitating

people with disabilities' access to the city in their agendas, as well as cooperating with other government bodies to have services directed at them; the country's National System for Integral Family Development is the only one to have services of that kind so far.
