The Restaurant Distinction Award by the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC), which has been celebrated for 31 years, recognizes restaurants that distinguish themselves by uplifting the industry with their creativity, leadership, service, and culinary excellence.

“In CANIRAC we recognize the invaluable work of each of the nominees, who uplift the gastronomic offer and experience of Mexico with distinction and excellence,” they stated on their official website.
There are several categories such as “Traditional Cook of the Year” and the “Carlos Anderson Category for Restaurant Innovation”. These two were the ones in which Hacienda de Badú and Lazzo de Tinto were nominated to, respectively.

Lazzo de Tinto describes itself as the “penthouse of Baja, where you will be able to enjoy our culinary heritage, our exquisite mixology, and amazing sunsets,” while Hacienda de Badú distinguishes itself due to its food and traditional breakfasts.

CANIRAC shared: “Very soon the qualifying jury, made up of several distinguished personalities of the restaurant industry and national gastronomy, providers, academics, consultants, journalists, publicists, and authorities will vote and pick the winners of this award for each category”.
