The Playas de Rosarito government, led by Mayor Rocío Adame and through the Department of Urban Administration, continues to make steady progress on the modernization of Bulevar Artesanal Popotla, an important project designed to improve traffic flow, revitalize the area, and benefit residents, business owners, and visitors.
According to the Department of Urban Development and Services, the work is now 95% complete. The project includes paving, sidewalk repairs, general cleanup, and improved access points, all contributing to the renewal of one of the city’s most well-known commercial and tourist zones.

As part of the final stages, city officials met with locals on July 1 to review the condition of newly finished sidewalks. A follow-up meeting took place on July 19 to inspect access points and resolve final details, taking into account input from both residents and business owners.
On July 20 and 21, the construction company carried out final cleaning and finishing touches. Another review meeting is scheduled to address any remaining issues and ensure the quality of the work, including potential repairs for hidden defects. The project is expected to be fully completed in the coming days.

Mayor Rocío Adame emphasized that projects like this are key to creating safer, more accessible, and more attractive public spaces that support tourism and improve quality of life.
“Popotla is a cultural and economic landmark in our city,” she said. “We’re committed to completing this work with quality and in constant communication with the community.”
With projects like this, the government of Playas de Rosarito is working to build a city that reflects the needs and priorities of its people.
