The winner of the San Diego Latino Film Festival’s annual poster competition is Matt Bonner, a London-based graphic designer.

Bonner was among a dozen finalists that included artists from Italy, Mexico, Croatia and Portugal.

The selection committee for Media Arts Center San Diego, the festival’s organizer, reviewed more than 170 entries.

The winner will receive $1,000 and his design also will be used for festival passes and all marketing materials related to the event.

Bonner’s design along with those from the other finalists will be displayed during the 11-day festival. They can also be viewed here.

The 18th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival is scheduled March 10-20 at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas at Hazard Center. More than 150 feature and short films are to be screened and nearly 100 actors and filmmakers will be in attendance.

The festival’s line-up of films and special guests will be announced in early February.

The Media Arts Center San Diego is a non-profit organization that trains video and film artists in the region. More information about the center and the festival is available at mediaartscenter.org
