President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo has publicly commended the nation’s security forces following the operation that resulted in the death of the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
In a statement released via her social media channels, the President confirmed that the operation was carried out by federal forces, with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) providing official reports on the events.
She also acknowledged that the action led to immediate reactions from criminal groups, including the implementation of road blockades.

The president assured the public that there is close coordination with state governments in response to the situation. She urged the population to stay informed through official channels and to remain calm, emphasizing that the Security Cabinet is providing permanent updates on their social media platforms.
Despite these isolated incidents, the president noted, the vast majority of the country is operating with complete normality.

In her message, President Claudia Sheinbaum specifically recognized the efforts of the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Armed Forces, and the Security Cabinet for their roles in the operation.
